April 19 to 21: Carolinas District Convention in Pinehurst NC. Quartets will compete on Friday evening. The Mixed and the Men's Choruses will compete, separately, on Saturday!

Chorus Evaluation session: somewhere between 2:30 and 4:30pm. Schedule TBA. Evals will take place at Pinecrest High.All members should plan on attending the Eval session, as it is a great coaching session from some of the best qualified musicians in the BHS.

Apr 22 (Monday): Regular weekly meeting back at our regular location (Music Room) at our usual times: 6;30 for Mixed Chorus, 7:30 for Men's Chorus.
We will have another publicity photo shoot, so please wear your uniform again!
Special Dress Requirement: Please wear our contest uniform:

2. Carol's Korner
Keeping our bodies free and in motion while singing last night made such a difference in our energy level and presentation. Let's keep building on this!
Let's give a great concert on Monday and plan to stay at the end to get in a few more reps on our songs for Pinehurst.
3. Future Notes
April 27 (Saturday): Oak City Sound (both choruses) in concert at Cary Spring Daze, to be held (as usual) at Bond Park. Call time is 10:30AM but plan to arrive at least an hour earlier as the parking situation is always a bear. Our performance venue is the Sertoma Amphitheatre (our usual location).
April 29 (Monday): Oak City Sound in concert at The Templeton, near Kildaire Farm Rd X Tryon Rd.
4. Long Range
May 6: First Special Guest night of 2024 for Oak City Sound!
At our new permanent rehearsal location: Glenaire Auditorium (where we were on April 8): We can all agree that this is a far better location for us than the current Music Room.
