• Mar 4: Great meeting with Mike Muha in the Director's role. 
  • We got the chorus shirt sizes for all the new members, except Liz Kasberg.
  • Good Afterglow at Mac's.
• Mar 11 (Monday): Regular weekly meeting at our regular location and at our regular times. 
  • 6;30 for Mixed Chorus, 7:30 for Men's Chorus.
  • Everyone should be prepared to sing any of the songs in the March 18 program (see below) in rehearsal tonight. 
• March 18 (Monday) 6pm: Oak City Sound in Concert at The Cypress of Raleigh, 8801 Cypress Lakes Dr, Raleigh, NC  27615. 
  • Arrival times:
    • 6 pm for those who can help setup risers.

  • Click on the Big Purple Box in the upper right to register. If you are going to compete with us, you must purchase a Full Registration (Early Bird).
  • LInks to reserve a hotel room are on the same page. Note that all 3 hotels are located on the same campus and share a single parking lot. 
  • The $79 early bird rate is going up to $100 after March 19th. 

2. Carol's Korner

• I hear you all did great things on Monday night! Let's keep moving forward!
• Monday is our last rehearsal to prepare for our performance at The Cypress. Please don't have any music in your hands so all eyes are up and we can really make music and tell stories through our songs.
• I will have a new riser placement plan for both groups, so please be flexible and take note of where you will be for the coming weeks.

3. Future Notes

• April 19 to 21: Carolinas District Convention in Pinehurst NC. Quartets will compete on Friday evening. The Mixed and the Men's Choruses will compete, separately, on Saturday!
  • For those Oaksters who are members of, or would like to consider being a member of the North Carolina Harmony Brigade, please consider attending the Brigade luncheon at noon on Friday. venue TBD. 

4. Long Range

• April 27 (Saturday): Please reserve several hours in mid-day for our performing at Cary Spring Daze, to be held at Bond Park. Our invitiation to perform is confirmed, but not the time of day. Usually, it has been around mid-Day.
• April 29 (Monday): Oak City Sound in concert at The Templeton, near Kildaire Farm Rd X Tryon Rd.
