Oct 14 (Saturday): Celebration of Life Service for Ken Bland was held at Hillyer Memorial Christian Church in Raleigh. Many current and former Oak City Sound / General Assembly Chorus members were in attendance: Jim Allen, Jim Knight, Dale Carter, Robert Cox, Nic Cols, Steve Tremper, Greg Zinke, Bob Zinke, Paul Martin, Tim Kinsey, Charlie Rose, Kevin Jones, Steve McGehee, John Zweighaft, Larry Hill, Bob Inskeep, Dan Winer, Matt Gorman, and Walter Richardson. Please excuse any omissions.
Oct 16: Our first Oak City Sound Holiday Singers meeting. The following new singers were in attendance: Susan Anderson, Anna Bernstein, Shirley Colson, Larry Gunnoe, Liz Kasberg, Eileen Mayhew, Cheryl McQueen, Sharon Muha, Pat Scibienski, Mark Sikora, and Mike St. Clair. Please continue to invite your singing friends to try us out.
