1. High Notes

• Apr 29: Cary Spring Daze We certainly pulled this engagement off rather well.
  • Concert at the Sertoma Amphitheatre plus the Info Booth all day long on the arcade.
  • Thank you to all who carpooled, who sang in the concert, and especially to those who took a turn at the Info Booth.
  • We got about 15 contact names at the Booth, which we are following up on. 
• May 1:  Regular rehearsal last Monday evening at our regular location.
  • We had 18 singers "on the risers", including returning recent guests Mike Carney, and David Kraay.
  • It was also great to Sean Li back with us, plus Izzy Keefer visiting us for the first time in quite a while.
  • Great Afterglow at a new location: Parkway Tavern. There were 6 in attendance (33%).
• May 8 (Monday) : Not our regular rehearsal.
  • Oak City Sound in concert at The Templeton Retirement Community, The Templeton is located at 215 Brightmore Dr, Cary, NC 27518, across Kildaire Farm Rd from WakeMed Cary.

  • There will be a short rehearsal following the concert. Please be ready to sing through Desperado, Honesty and Two Less Lonely People at least once so we can keep the song in our minds and voices for a focused rehearsal on these songs on May 15.
• May 15 (Monday): Regular meeting at our regular time at our regular location: Searstone Retirement Community at 7pm.

2. Carol's Korner

• We are continuing to take steps in the direction of connected sound, singing with meaning, and ringing chords. This is great work!
• Please spend time BETWEEN Mondays working on these concepts so that they start to become consistently duplicatable and second nature for everyone. We want to keep moving forward from week to week.
• The better YOU sing, the better WE sound, and the more JOY we will find in doing this thing TOGETHER!

• June 5: 7:15pm: Concert at Searstone! Please show up at 6:30. 
• Oct 22, a Sunday afternoon. Oak City Sound in concert at Preston Pointe in Morrisville.
