Start off the convention weekend by attending the kick-off luncheon on FridayApril 4 at 12:30 at Dugan’s Pub, 2 Market Square, Pinehurst, NC 28374. Last year, we had about 25 people at attendance from all around the district. Maybe a song or a tag might break out! If you plan to come, please give Nic Cols a heads up.
If you’re attending, remember to polish up your Polecats, especially “Wait Till the Sun Shines, Nellie” (conducted by our very own Carol) for the post-Contest chorus sing.
Any Concert Suggestions? – The more organizational funding we get from group concerts, the less formal fundraising we have to do.Contact our Marketing VP Bob Inskeep with any ideas.
3. Carol's Cadence
Please take some time this weekend to look over the songs we are performing on Monday night.
Mixed Chorus - Check notes, words and tuning on Lion Sleeps Tonight.
Men's Chorus - Give special attention to Two Less Lonely People, Where Everybody Knows Your Name, and Desperado since those got little or no time in rehearsal last week.
Remember to keep that sound up in the goggles we sang through on Monday. It makes the sound much freer and brighter for less effort!
