Feb. 14 – Valentine’s Day! Thanks to everyone who came out to sing and/or purchased Valentines. Special shout out to The Madrigals who went from 1 scheduled Valentine to TEN!
Between in-person and emailed Valentines, we brought in at least $1,600. At the business meeting, several people suggested making “email/virtual songs” available for other occasions – which was the original intent of the Celebrations through Song page on our website.
Feb. 17 rehearsal: Especially as Carol has been in Nebraska, thanks to everyone for continuing to learn their songs, and thanks to Mike for leading us. Remember, we are now focusing on the National Anthem and our Contest songs!

March 4 is the Early Bird registration deadline – and room block reservation deadline – for the District Contest.
The Spring Convention and Contest is in Pinehurst, NC, Friday April 4th (evening of quartet semi-finals) and Saturday 5th.
If you are a new member and plan to join us, you must join the national Barbershop Harmony Society to be eligible to sing at Contest. Oak City Sound is listed as the “Research Triangle Park” chapter.
Any Concert Suggestions? – The more organizational funding we get from group concerts, the less formal fundraising we have to do.Contact our Marketing VP Bob Inskeep with any ideas.

6. Major & Minor Moods Please send our friends your prayers & best wishes!
At last Monday’s rehearsal, three out of the four members of RTP's famed "City Market" quartet from 30 years ago had a mini-reunion: guest George Cherny (tenor), Steve Mark (bari), and Nic Cols (Lead). Thanks to Mike Muha for supplying the bass part that allowed us to sing together again!
Please continue to send Carol and her family your love, prayers, and best wishes.
