Calling all singers - young, young-at-heart (or not!), men, women (you heard that right!), and everyone in between!
Oak City Sound is inviting YOU to join us on stage as part of the "OCS Holiday Chorus", for our public performance at the Cary Arts Center, December 5th, 2023. *
We know Oak City Sound is a "4-part men's a cappella group", but with the Barbershop Harmony Society opening the doors to all, we are also doing so for this special Holiday Chorus - All Are Welcome!
All you have to do is rehearse with us at least four out of five Mondays (starting October 16th and ending November 13th) from 7 pm to 7:45 pm, with no obligation or commitment after the fun!
We will provide sheet music and learning tracks to help you along.
While Oak City Sound performs only memorized music, for this portion of the show, everyone on stage, guests and members alike, will have the sheet music on-hand.
The songs planned for the OCS Holiday Chorus are:
- Do You Hear What I Hear
- Carol of the Bells
- Jingle Bells
- Away In a Manger (not that one, the OTHER one!)
- It Came Upon a Midnight Clear / Silent Night
All music is 4-part a cappella, and you will sing whatever part you can, with lots of help and encouragement from Oak City Sound members.

* And if the Cary Arts Center performance isn't enough for you, since we are booked with private performances all four Mondays between Thanksgiving and Christmas, you are welcome to join us at any of those, as we will be singing some of these songs at those performances, as well.
