Who is Oak City Sound?

Oak City Sound is a 4-part a cappella group located in the Cary, North Carolina area, singing traditional barbershop, show/movie tunes, doo-wop, and pop songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s, etc.  We have a men's chorus AND a mixed chorus, performing regularly at various venues.

All our rehearsals are open to the public and to potential new members, so why not pay us a visit?

We rehearse every Monday evening in the Searstone Retirement Community Auditorium*, at 19001 Searstone Drive, Cary, NC 27513. Enter through the doors, and someone should be able to direct you to the auditorium. Our mixed chorus rehearsal starts at 6:45 pm.  The mens chorus starts after a business meeting / break that begins around 8.

*We have a wonderful rehearsal arrangement with TWO retirement communities, the second being the Glenaire Retirement Community, also in Cary.  If Searstone is booked with a different group on our rehearsal night, we will meet in the Glenaire Auditorium, at 4000 Glenaire Circle, Cary NC  27511.  See the Upcoming Events to make sure where we are when you are interested in attending a rehearsal!
